If it’s not appearing for you, go to the place where you installed sai and click on start-sai, which will update sai so it shows up. They were not made by me, they were made by / and … Link to download the blotmap and all that stuff: /file/d/0B9Sme…Īfter downloading, move the blotmaps, elemaps, bitmaps, and papertex into their respective folders. That way it feels more like I’m using a palette, therefore feeling more real. Speaking of palettes, I also keep the scratchpad on and put my “pure” colors there. It’s rather like dipping your brush in water, or dabbing it on a paper towel, or adding more “pure” colored paint on your palette. It may sound like a hassle that will interrupt your workflow, but it’s not really a big deal. Also, as you add more layers of acrylics, the canvas texture gets covered over, another reason for not setting canvas as the bitmap. This is why I didn’t set the bitmap to canvas. And when you don’t need it, you can set it to 0 or no texture. Keep it low, around 10, and you’ll achieve the look shown next to Round Large in the picture shown. This folder contains brush shapes that need to be downloaded and installed into the correct SAI folder - either blotmap or elemap. Also, for a drier look, you should set the bitmap as noise. Sorry to those who would prefer oils, I’ve only used acrylics on canvases. I made each size and shape separate because 1) I’m lazy and 2) having separate size/shape brushes feels much more realistic than having one brush. I’ve been making lots of custom brushes on Paint Tool Sai and decided to share it to the world! These are acrylic brushes that I created. If you sketch a lot and really love brushes that emulating different kinds of brushes (like I do, haha), I cant recommend these different brushes enough.
